What Gives??

What’s going on here? I never even imagined that gas would be this expensive, not in Texas anyway. I actually took this picture a few days ago, and it’s gone up in price even more since then. I wonder if this will help the hybrid car industry. Someone told me that the gas is so expensive because King Fahd died. Yeah, right. Someone else told me that if you factor in inflation, gas is actually cheaper now than it was fifty years ago. I’m not sure I believe that either.

Katie,
I came across this article today and thought it fit in with your article and our discussion on fuel prices. Maybe we need to get this man to work on our cars! http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/08/15/hybrid.tinkerers.ap/index.html

That's interesting. Thanks for the link! I would definitely go for 250 miles per gallon! That's pretty amazing. I guess people in California are starting to be forced to actually do something since their gas prices make ours look cheap.

Katie,
Fuel in Casper, as reported on the news, is said to be the cheapest in the country. It costs seven dollars to fill my motor cycle. The truck near forty.(I don't drive that much these days) I Better start shopping for a four cylinder shoe box before winter arrives. I never thought I would see gas prices match my grocery bill!

Hi Gail! I'm always excited to learn about another person who actually reads this blog! So, I guess Wyoming is the place to be right now. You make me think maybe I should get a motorcycle, but then I'd show up for work all sweaty, probably. Oh, well, my car gets excellent mileage.
